Do I need a BackerKit account to complete the backer survey?

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like.

How do I change my backer survey responses?

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under “Lost your survey?” on our BackerKit project page at https://reduxmissionwatches.backerkit.com.

What titanium grade are the watches?

The standard issue titanium is Grade 2, which is pure titanium and fully hypoallergenic. You can also upgrade to titanium Grade 5, which is an alloy that provides a harder and more scratch-resistant surface.

What happened to my Kickstarter Add-Ons?

Many of the Add-Ons from Kickstarter have now been integrated into the survey questions. So instead of just choosing HONNR, for example, and then Adding-On grade 5 titanium or black DLC coating, you simply choose all those options directly in the survey questions, and the price will be updated to reflect those selections. The amount you paid for Add-Ons in Kickstarter becomes a credit in BackerKit that applies to your selections. It makes the process smoother for you, and also helps us track the SKU counts more accurately for production.

Are all the watch models offered in black?

Yes. All models are offered with an option for a black coating called Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC), which is a nanocomposite layer with extreme corrosion- and impact-resistance. You’ll be able to make this selection in the backer survey for +$30 per watch/module.

Can you make the watches thinner / slimmer?

They are as slim as we can get them. In addition to movement thickness, there’s also the need to account for the thickness of the sapphire and case thickness required to enable the 20ATM water resist.

Why aren't there any photos of no-date variants?

We had all the prototypes made with a date aperture because we need to ensure the alignments were correct and the sizing were just the right size. It’s a lot easier to have a full dial than to find out later the date window was not on spec! We do have renders of them, which you’ll see displayed if you select a no-date variant.

If I paid for an early bird reservation before the launch, how do I get my reservation fee back?

We’ve added your reservation fee as a credit in BackerKit, so you’ll be able to use it toward Add-Ons. If you used a different email address for the reservation than the email associated with your Kickstarter account, let us know at [email protected] so we can get it correctly linked.

When will I get my items?

We are aiming to ship in December 2021. Depending on your location, you’ll get them sometime between 3-4 weeks from the ship date. Please note that this is an estimate, as you’re pre-ordering the product and production delays could arise, but we’ll keep you updated along the way.

What happened to the ENDUR model?

Long story short: Right now ENDUR is on standby. Long story long: We put it on pause for the moment because we want to focus on these four models first.

We actually made two prototypes. One variant running the automatic ETA 7750 / Landeron 77 and the other the solar/light-powered VS72A.

Apparently 4 models at once is already overloading the KS reward capabilities and straining mission focus with technicalities.

We might hold ENDUR for another flight later.

Did backers get to decide every detail? Is this design by committee?

This is not a democracy — or design by committee. We recognize that we’re better together and there are many smart people with ideas and details we may not have considered so we’re here to collaborate and hear. But certainly when it comes time to land this flight we’ll have to make the tough calls and decide on behalf of everyone to make sure that even if everyone doesn’t get exactly every detail they asked for, they understand that we’ve done our best to optimize all things considered to be the ultimate expression of these new mission watch designs.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
